EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports from the Greeley Police Department daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column due to space limitations.
February 18
7:15 a.m.: A caller in the 2400 block of 35th Avenue reported a cart with three propane tanks in the middle of the road with no one around.
11:30 a.m.: A woman in the 2000 block of 70th Avenue reported that someone stole $300 from her purse while she was in the MRI tube.
1 p.m.: A caller in the 6600 block of 10th Street reported that someone was carving aggressive comments and the caller’s apartment number into the elevator.
10 p.m.: A caller near 50th Avenue and 22nd Street reported two men going door to door asking to be taken to McDonald’s.
February 19
9:30 p.m.: A man in the 1800 block of 16th Street reported seeing the 10 to 15 people who were after him and said he didn’t imagine it. He said they were playing loud music and waiting for him to come out of the ER.
10 p.m.: A caller in the 4300 block of 9th Street reported that three men stole a few thousand dollars worth of inventory from the smoking room.
the 21st of February
2 a.m.: A caller in the 2100 block of 8th Street reported that a neighbor had been drinking too much and was making a lot of noise coming out and shouting repeatedly.
1:15 p.m.: A woman from the 1700 block of 8th Avenue said she heard Weld County say they planted a bomb in her apartment. She also believed the bomb had already been planted in her apartment by former President Donald Trump.
2:15 p.m.: An employee in the 4700 block of 29th Street reported that someone purchased a new sewing machine from a craft store that contained a firearm. The customer said that upon opening the box, a gun fell out of it.
9:30 p.m.: A caller in the 2600 block of 11th Avenue reported that a customer with lots of bags was drugging and dressing inside the store.
February 24
8am: A caller near 24th Street and 50th Avenue said he hit a fire hydrant after being hit by another car which lost a wheel.
8:30 a.m.: A man near 23rd Avenue and 25th Street wanted to know what was going on in the neighborhood after seeing a lot of police activity, like SWAT officers, as he dropped his daughter off at school.
12:30 p.m.: A caller in the 2300 block of 9th Street reported a cat hoarding house that had several feral cats inside the garage.
