New York’s high fashion embroidery studio takes to the streets with a mobile truck
The New York embroidery studio is launching a mobile pop-up truck this summer.
New York Embroidery Studio
The New York embroidery studio has provided incredibly intricate and beautiful embroidery and embellishments over the past 20 years to designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren and Alexander Wang.
And now the studio is taking its expertise to the streets with a mobile truck, which will be appearing in New York all summer.
NYES has been called the Maison Lesage of NYC and is a well-kept secret for many New York designers. Their expert craftsmen do everything from embroidery to ruching to leather embossing. They recently created an incredible 70-pound dress (below) adorned with 25,000 sequins for Altuzarra, worn by Rachel Brosnahan at the Met Gala. It took four days to create with eight craftswomen hand sewing each sequin.

Michelle Feinberg, Owner and Creative Director of NYES, has worked in the fashion industry for over 30 years. She wanted to reach beyond the fashion industry and the clothing district to bring more visibility to the studio with the general public.
“We’re well known in the fashion industry, but not so much to people outside,” Feinberg said. “We’ve only just started taking the truck out on the streets (and at events), and we’re seeing it already building new relationships with New Yorkers outside of the fashion industry, which I adore.”

The truck will offer custom embroideries, heat transfers and on-site hot stamping.
“If you have a tote bag you want to add a monogram to, a trucker hat that needs bling, or a denim jacket you want to personalize, it’s super easy, affordable, and fun,” Feinberg said.
NYES also collaborates with designers and fashion brands for summer events in Manhattan, Long Island, New Jersey and the Hamptons. Feinberg says to keep an eye on NYES Instagram, TikTok and Facebook social feeds for more details.
While the studio works with some of the most exclusive design houses in the country, Feinberg emphasized that the mobile truck is for anyone who wants to add pizzazz or personalization to a garment or accessory. In other words, do not hesitate to present your idea to the mobile artisans.
“The truck’s pop-art look reflects our approach – we want to make the everyday colorful and eye-catching!” said Feinberg. “Life is too short to be bland.”
