About the Show
NEW FOR 2011 NEW NAME: Since APWQ decided to expand its region, the new name of the show is Pacific West Quilt Show (previously known as Pacific Northwest Quiltfest) NEW FREQUENCY: 2011 marks the first year that the PWQ Show will become an annual event (previously a biennial show, every two years since 1994) LOCATION: Everything is conveniently located under one roof at the beautiful and new Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center in downtown Tacoma, WA. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the facility. Being “green” is a key philosophy of this facility. Quilt show visitors will find easy and frequent public transportation throughout the area, convenient and ample parking, world-class museums, great lodging and dining within walking distance of the facility. Tacoma is located only 18 miles south of SeaTac International Airport; 36 miles south of Seattle, WA; 174 miles south of Vancouver, BC; 142 miles north of Portland, OR. Tacoma is also served by Amtrak.
